Elizabeth and Agate, her pet Checkered Giant 2-25-2001 UPDATE on Elizabeth's Baby Rabbits! New pictures, new babies, etc.
It's been nearly a year since Agate gave birth to her first 7 babies. And for all my good intentions, none of them ever left home! Actually, one escaped a few weeks ago. I like to think he found a better home, since I never saw him again...
There are updated photos of all of us on this page, except the one brown and white (extremely fast!) female rabbit that pretty much lives a life of freedom in our yard. But the rest of us are here, including the 5 new babies Agate gave birth to on Feb. 23, 2001!.

Oreo
Little Guy
Eeyore
Show Rabbit
Blue
Prince Charming

Agate is a sweet wonderful pet, but keeping her caged is a full-time job.
She loves nothing better than finding new ways to get out! Being the escape artist she is,
Agate is loose in the yard.... quite often.

Consequently.....

The night of February 23, 2001, Agate gave birth to her second family. Five new babies!

The pictures below were taken 2 days later.
Please Note: Only people who constantly handle a mother rabbit herself should ever touch a newborn bunny. Strange smells on a newborn will cause a mother rabbit to reject her baby. The hands pictured below are mine.
