The Recorder/Administrator is elected every two years.

The Recorder/Administrator is responsible for the day to day administration of the City's business, record keeping and financial operations of the City.

The Recorder/Administrator acts under the general policy direction of the City Council.

The City Clerk is hired by the City Council. The Clerk is responsible for the daily public operations of the

 city office, attending to cash receipts, answering telephone and person to person queries.
The Clerk also acts as the Municipal Court Clerk and police matron. The Clerk works under the direction of the Recorder/Administrator.
