CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON
RESOLUTION 1053 (1998)
A RESOLUTION CORRECTING ALLOCATION OF TRANSIENT TAX FUNDS
WHEREAS: Union County receives and allocates transient room taxes for tourist
development and promotion of traveler services, and;
WHEREAS: the Elgin Chamber of Commerce has for several years past and current,
requested, received and used these funds to maintain an office, telephone and
local information brochures, and;
WHEREAS: Union County sent a check for $1,500 in transient taxes, at the request
of the Chamber of Commerce, to the City which was subsequently deposited into
the City of Elgin account;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
That the City of Elgin draft a check for $1,500 to the Elgin Chamber of Commerce
to be used by the Chamber of Commerce for the maintenance of an office and/or
local information brochure and other Chamber of Commerce information.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of October 1998.
