CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON
                    RESOLUTION  1034  (1997)

   A RESOLUTION MAKING APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND,
             AND TRANSFERRING APPROPRIATIONS WITHIN 
                 THE STREET FUND AND SEWER FUND

WHEREAS; Transfer expenditures for the Street Fund, and Material and Services
expenditures for the Sewer Fund and the Ambulance Department of the General
Fund have been greater than anticipated,  and,

WHEREAS, Limiting the expenditures of these categories would adversely affect
the operation of the City; and,

WHEREAS, The Street Fund, Sewer Fund and General Fund have revenues
adequate to cover increased appropriations of these categories;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED That; 
Appropriations of these several funds are reallocated as follows:  
     General Fund Ambulance is increased by $1,000 and $1,000 of the General
Fund Contingency is hereby appropriated for this increase; 

     Street Fund Transfers is increased by $4,000 and Street Fund Materials
and Services is decreased by $4,000;

     Sewer Fund Materials and Services is increased by $9,000, and Sewer Fund
Capital Expenditures is decreased by $5,000 and Sewer Fund Transfers is
decreased by $4,000.  

     The net change in appropriations for the Street Fund and Sewer Fund is
$ 0.00.
