CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON 
                     RESOLUTION  1019 (1996)


           A RESOLUTION OF INTEREST REGARDING SITING A
         MINIMUM SECURITY WORK CAMP FACILITY IN THE CITY



WHEREAS:  The State Oregon is seeking sites for a minimum security work camp
facility, and;

WHEREAS: the City of Elgin has an interest in investigating the location of such
an Oregon institution in the City;


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Elgin hereby requests the
State of Oregon Department of Corrections to consider sites in the City of Elgin
for a minimum security work camp facility and that the Department of Corrections
work with the City in investigating the suitability of the City for such a facility
and to prepare any applications necessary for the location of such a facility.
