CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON
                     RESOLUTION 1016  (1996)




     A RESOLUTION MAKING APPROPRIATIONS OF CONTINGENCY FUNDS
                     WITHIN THE GENERAL FUND


WHEREAS; During the flooding and consequent restoration work in
February there was a need to make unforeseen expenditures, and;

WHEREAS; The City did make emergency expenditures of $4,225.17 for
the purpose of flood control and restoration;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; That for the fiscal year 1995/1996,
$4,300 of General Fund Contingency is appropriated to emergency
expenditures of the Non-Departmental category of the General Fund. 
Non-Departmental Emergency Expenditures is increased $4,300, and
General Fund Contingency is decreased $4,300.  The net change in
the General Fund being $ 0.00.
