IF YOU USE WINDOWS LIVE FOR WINDOWS 7 EMAIL SOFTWARE

 

Open Windows Live. To get to the account settings, look to the left side of the window and find where your email address (shown as "Eoni (example)" in this illustration) is displayed. It should be directly above the Inbox. Right-click on it and select Properties on the menu that pops ups:

In the Properties window that pops up, select the Servers tab at the top. In the Email username field, ensure that it shows your full email address (example@eoni.com, not just �example�). Be certain that the box is checked for "My server requires authentication". Click Apply.

Select the Advanced tab at the top. For Outgoing Mail (SMTP), there will be a number there. If that number is 80, it needs to be changed. Acceptable numbers for this are 25 (the default) or 587. If you change this number and you are suddenly unable to send out mail, try a different one. In some cases, neither of these numbers will work for all people, which is why we give you both options. If none of them work, please contact EONI Technical Support.

When that's done, simply click OK on any open windows until you're looking at your Inbox again.
