The Library operates under the policy direction of the City Council. The library board is an advisory committee
to the City Council. The board reviews the library operations and makes recommendations to the City Council.

The library has an inventory of over 10,000 volumes.
It also has 7 computer work stations for internet access, and one station for children multi-media CDs.

The library serves the entire north Union County Area. It is primarily funded by the City's general fund.
It receives a grant from Union County and some small grants from the State of Oregon.
