CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON

RESOLUTION  1084 (2000)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL 
SETTING FEES FOR WATER AND SEWER CONNECTIONS


WHEREAS: The charges for establishing service connections to the water system and to the
public sewer system of the City of Elgin are to be set by resolution, and;

WHEREAS: The charges to make said connections have not increased for over 18 years and no
longer repay the expense of making these connections;  

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that effective July 1, 2000:
The sewer connection fee shall be $750.00 per building connection, for installations made as
required in Ordinance #3-l981; and,
The water connection fee shall be $750.00 for each meter installed, for installations made as
required in Ordinance #5-l981.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that:
The above charges shall be assessed where the connection point is within 50 feet of the boundary
of the property to be serviced, and that additional charges shall be assessed to cover the added
cost for installations that extend beyond 50 feet.
