CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON

RESOLUTION  1070 (2000)
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL IDENTIFYING 
A NEWSPAPER PUBLISHED IN THE CITY


WHEREAS: ORS 294.401 requires that žthe budget officer shall publish in a
newspaper of general circulation in the municipal corporation . . . the Notice
of Budget Committee Meeting; 
   and,
WHEREAS: ORS 294.421 requires that  the summary of the budget document
approved by the budget committee shall be published žin one or more of the
newspapers published in the municipal corporation and having general
circulation in the municipal corporation, or if no newspaper is published in the
municipal corporation, then in some newspaper or newspapers designated by
the governing body of the municipal corporation and having general circulation
in the municipal corporation.


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
The City Council of the City of Elgin Oregon makes the following findings:
   1) The Paper is a newspaper published in Elgin;
   2) The Paper is delivered free to every mailing address in Elgin;
   3) There is no other newspaper of general circulation published in Elgin;
   4) The Paper is a newspapers published in the municipal corporation
        of Elgin and has general circulation in the municipal corporation of
        Elgin.
      

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That the City of Elgin, per the requirements of ORS 294.401, 294.421 and the
other publication requirements for the local budgeting process required by
Chapter 294, will publish budget notifications for the Cityžs budgeting process
in žThe Paper.
