CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON
RESOLUTION  1059 (1999),
A Resolution regarding Coverage of 
EMTs, Firemen and Police Reserves Volunteers for Workers Compensation
Insurance





WHEREAS: The City of Elgin desires to protect its volunteer workers for
injuries arising out of or in the scope of their service to the City;


THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Elgin elects, pursuant to ORS
656.031/656.041, to provide workers' compensation coverage for the following
volunteers:
      ambulance EMTs and drivers, 
      volunteer firemen, 
      volunteer police reserve officers, 
      volunteer solid waste attendant,
      and other volunteers serving the City for a period exceeding one month.
Said coverage to be at an assumed wage of $800 per month.


PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of June 1999.
