CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON 

                     RESOLUTION  1023 (1996)
    A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND RECORDER TO ENTER
     INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE OREGON DEPT OF TRANSPORTATION




WHEREAS:  The City of Elgin has been awarded a grant by the Oregon
Department of Transportation of $25,000 per the provisions of ORS 366.805(2), and;


WHEREAS: To formalize the contracts to receive the grant funds, the City must
sign certain contracts and other documents;


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and the Recorder are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract with the Oregon Department of Transportation
and to sign the necessary documents for receipt of Special City Allotment funds
for a project on Cedar Street from 5th Avenue to 8th Avenue.
