CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON
                      RESOLUTION 1022, 1996

               A RESOLUTION SELECTING A CONTRACTOR
                  TO SUPPLY CRUSHED STREET ROCK


WHEREAS, Resolution 1014 (1996) declares an exemption to the public bid process
for purchase of crushed street rock, and;

WHEREAS, Keith Powelson has proposed to supply crushed rock @ $5.50 per
Cu.Yd., and;

WHEREAS, There currently is no other local supply of crushed street rock
meeting the City's requirements;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,  That the proposal submitted by Keith
Powelson to supply 3/4" to 0" crushed rock, is hereby accepted @ $5.50 per
Cu.Yd. for an amount of up to $10,000.  

Note: Actual quantity of rock to be purchased by the City is contingent upon the
quality of the crushed rock and the need for the rock, as determine by the
Public Works Supervisor, not to exceed $10,000.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 8th day of October 1996.
