CITY OF ELGIN, OREGON 

                     RESOLUTION  1013 (1996)
            A RESOLUTION CORRECTING RESOLUTION 1012, 
                  MAKING BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS

WHEREAS:  Resolution 1012 approved the budget for 1996/97 and made
appropriations of expenditures therefore, and;

WHEREAS: the approved budget for the Street Fund Materials and Services
category and the subsequent appropriations were in error, by causing the
approved  budget for the Street Fund to exceed the statutory limit of 10% of the
adopted budget for the Street Fund;


NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:  That the approved budget be corrected to
read as follows:  Street Fund, Materials and Services line item "Street Maint &
Materials" be changed from $40,000 to $35,000, and;

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED; That Resolution 1012 be amended to read as follows:
appropriations for the Street Fund, Materials and Services changed from $54,450
to $49,450, the total Street Fund appropriations to $166,100, the total budgeted
appropriations to $2,283,656; and to Unappropriated Budget Requirements be
added, Street Fund $5,000, with the total Unappropriated Budget Requirements
to read $36,160.
